What is a Subject Area Representative (SAR)?
A Subject Area Representative is a volunteer to the local section who is committed to professional development and networking with his or her science area. The SARs are facilitators to network meeting and workshops and present a session at the annual STANYS conference. The position also involves meeting with other SARs around the state once a year and networking with them.
