Click here to go to the STANYS website. Our Spring Dinner Meeting has been scheduled. It will be on Wed, April 23, at Casa Too Mucha. Dr. Robin Kinnel of Hamilton College will be speaking on "Adventures in Natural Products Chemistry." Click here for the flyer with information and reservation form. There is a summer course titled ICE AGE TO GLOBAL WARMING. It takes place in and around Albany from July 7-11, 2008. It offers 45 contact hours, with a price of $295 (dinners included). Deadline for signing up is June 7, 2008. This is an interdisciplinary program covering the art, history, literature, and ecology of the Greater Capital Region. Tour the homes, walk the grounds, see the exhibits, meet the curators, tae home the curriculum material and ideas to energize your classes and stimulate minds. The program covers from Dutch settlement to the Erie Canal to the Underground Railroad to the Rockefeller years including behind the scene tours of museum labs, and sunset walks in the ravines of a cemetery topped of with a river cruise. The New York State Center for Engineering Design and Industrial Innovation (NYSCEDII) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites your female students entering grades 10-12 to apply for participation inthe 2008 Cyber Engineering Workshop for Young Women, July 14 - 18. The American Chemical Society is hosting workshops this summer on Green Chemistry.
